The programme will be presented by mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean and guitarist Dimitris Soukaras, both graduates of the Royal Academy of Music in London and represents an important collaboration in contemporary British music. Following its recent presentation at the Oxford Song Festival, this will be the first performance of the project in Athens, hosted at St Paul’s Anglican Church.

Drawing on songs from around the world, inspired by nature, the four elements and the themes of creation, light and belonging, the vocal duo weave together traditional carols from different regions of Greece, classic English carols and original compositions from their personal albums.

With Genesis, de Kol and Kouris invite the audience into a warm, communal space of uplift, joy and unity, where music becomes a gateway to memory and heart.
