SPRING BAZAAR

INAUGURATED IN 2006 to augment the chaplaincy’s funds, the Spring Bazaar is held every year on a Saturday in late May in the garden of St. Paul’s Church. Affectionately known as the ‘mini bazaar’, its attendance has grown steadily over the years.

It now opens with people queuing outside the church’s gates, eager to stock up on summer reading, resample jams and preserves they first bought at Christmastime, get homemade cakes and pies, or meet up with friends and enjoy a chat over a cup of coffee in an Anglophone environment. In and of itself, the Spring Bazaar is a social event, while also helping us cover running expenses at a time of year when our funds are meagre.

If you have yet to attend this event, we extend you a warm invitation to join us. And should you have an idea (or two… or more!) about organising a different, fun, quirky, adventurous, creative or other fundraising event to help us meet our financial needs, don’t hesitate to suggest it – we would love you to share it with us! Furthermore, should you want to become a Stall Holder, a Helper or a Volunteer or if you wish to donate items to be sold at any Anglican Church Bazaar, please email: anglican@otenet.gr †
