FREE ENTRANCE_RETIRING COLLECTION in aim of the maintenance of the Hill Organ of St Paul’s
This is the third concert hosted at St. Paul’s Anglican Church with free admission and a retiring donation towards the maintenance of the organ. This year marks 125 years of continuous operation of the historic Hill organ and your presence and support at these concerts is important to maintain the proper and uninterrupted operation of the organ.
Roger Tilley studied music under Timothy Lees at the famous Renatus Harris organ at St John’s church Wolverhampton. While at the University of Bristol he was director of music at the Wills Chapel and assistant organist at the Catholic Cathedral. Since 1983 he has lived in Athens, teaching at Campion School. Until 2010 he was the organist of St Andrew’s church in Athens. He has been the musical director of the Athens Singers from 1983 to 1990 and from 2007 to the present day.
