“Atmospheric improvisations” between cello and guitar
The Giorgos Tabakis & Stavros Parginos Duet are in concert on the 16th April, at 8:30pm, at St. Paul’s, Philellinon 27 & Amalias Avenue (metro: Syntagma) with a repertoire combining contemporary music and modern jazz. The 2016 programme of Musical Moments at St. Paul’s continues with yet another interesting evening featuring guitarist and composer Giorgos Tabakis and cellist Stavros Parginos. The duo has its own “musical language” of communication, which incorporates a wide range of expressive means and is influenced by different musical currents, and which, above all, is based on improvisation and an element of surprise. A “taste” of what these talented musicians create with their interplay can be found in their first project, “Drops of Time” (watch and listen to it here). Their performance on the 16th April promises to take this project even further and offer yet another magical Musical Moment at St Paul’s…
