Piano recital by Evgenia Papadimas
“Tendrement”, a recital by renowned Greek pianist Evgenia Papadimas, is being held at St. Paul’s Church, Philellinon 27 and Amalias Avenue, on 6th February at 8:30pm. Organised by specs ‘n’ arts, the entrance fee is € 12 (students € 10). Tickets are also available online via www.ticketservices.gr, or can be booked by calling 210.723.45.67.
The performance centres on works by Rameau, Couperin, Scarlatti and Bach and offers the Athenian audience the possibility of (re)discovering the talented musician, who started playing the piano before even learning to read and write and gave her first recital at the age of twelve. Well-known to the public of the (Megaron) Athens Concert Hall and the Greek National Opera, Evgenia Papadimas’ concerts and recitals abroad include such prestigious venues as the Bolivar Hall, Leighton House, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and Wigmore Hall in London, the Liszt Academy in Budapest, the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, and the Kioi Hall in Tokyo.
